Fiddler’s Green Retreat is in a beautiful private and secluded setting, with almost 3 acres of mature gardens and private woodland crossed by a stream with a waterfall. The house dates back to the 1700’s and was originally the gardener’s cottages to the nearby Ivy Tower Mansion, which now forms part of the ‘Wild Welsh Zoo’ owned by Anna Ryder-Richardson (celebrity from the t.v. series Changing Rooms). The zoo’s gibbons can be heard at times, echoing in the small valley.
There are many private areas in the beautiful secluded gardens, so private meditation is easy. There is also a log cabin (kutir), and access to local walks directly from the retreat.
The cottages have four double bedrooms, some have 2 single beds which can be zipped together to make double beds. Two have en-suite bathrooms. For some retreats there is an additional double room in the log cabin with bathroom and kitchen. The comfortable main lounge has part stone walls, low beamed ceilings, and inglenook fireplace with log burner.
The retreat is situated on the edge of the beautiful village of St.Florence, just two miles from the wonderful Pembrokeshire Coastal Path. Getting here is easy, with easy access via the M4 and A40. Tenby railway station is 4 miles away, and has a direct line via Swansea from London Paddington.
